ABSTRACT

The restaurant business is facing a trifecta of challenges: razor-thin margins, rising food costs, and strong competition. Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a powerful tool in this highly competitive environment. AI enhances profitability through intelligent inventory management that saves waste and dynamic pricing tactics that adjust to demand. AI chatbots enhance the consumer experience by tailoring it to individual preferences, while kitchen automation optimizes processes and guarantees uniformity. In addition, AI examines extensive datasets to forecast patterns and consumer actions, facilitating data-based choices about many aspects such as menu enhancement and focused marketing initiatives. Essentially, AI provides restaurants with the ability to anticipate and adapt to the challenges of a competitive industry. Using several case studies, this study demonstrates that AI is indispensable in fostering innovation and competitiveness in the restaurant industry.
