ABSTRACT

This research paper discusses corporate governance, its history, the intersection of it between practitioners and scholars, and its future opportunities for better organizational performance and positive linkages to corporate governance research. Corporate governance research has been challenged to find positive relationships with organizational performance, and the private sector has often ignored its research in managing their corporate governance ecosystem. This paper provides historical context, identifies corporate governance challenges, and introduces possible solutions using other research methods and concepts to advance the field.
