ABSTRACT
This study examines financial literacy and behavior among farmers, with an emphasis on budgeting practices, investment decisions, and financial knowledge. A survey of small-sized farmers reveals that budgeting behavior is a significant predictor of investment activity, whereas age and education are not. Most participants were middle-aged or older, moderately educated, and experienced in farming but exhibited gaps in advanced financial literacy. The findings underscore the need for targeted financial literacy programs that emphasize budgeting, cash flow management, and risk mitigation. This study contributes to the rural finance literature and provides practical insights for enhancing the financial resilience and long-term sustainability of farming communities.
