ABSTRACT

The implementation of an information systems like Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is a critical phase for any organization. Starting from the decision to change the current system or implement a new one, to the deployment phase, and even after the ERP implementation, many factors may influence this process and the success or the failure of the ERP implementation. While researchers are often focusing on the success factors, this paper aims to investigate and analyse the failure factors and to dress taxonomy of them thru each phase of the project and explaining those factors from a strategy perspective. In fact, some strategy schools could help to understand some factors and even more to reduce the probability occurrence of some of them.
